One Engineer Cuts Another.

A disagreement between .the night engineers, William Tuohy. and the chief engineer, Richard H. Nevin, of the Bowling Green Building, came near resulting in the death of the latter. Quarrels between the two had been frequent, and on Tuesday Nevin discharged Tuohy. Tuohy caught his former employer unaware yesterday and with a razor slashed him across the back of the neck. The blade reached the spinal column, but missed the jugular vein. Nevin is in the Hudson Street Hospital, and Tuohy is at large.
